Ilze Vanaga
Ilze is a visual artist, using photography, writing and objects to tell her stories. They are lingering on the edge of symbolism and just pure observation as they reflect life and perception of it through the eyes of the artist.
Ilze Vanaga was born in Latvia, Kuldiga, 1979.
After receiving a BA in History of Arts from the Latvian Academy of Arts, she moved to London which was her home for six years between 2004 and 2010. Currently she is living in Riga, Latvia.
Ilze has participated in exhibitions worldwide since 2009. She has also published two books – 'Press House' 2014 in collaboration with Inga Erdmane & 'Partner in crime' 2014.
She has also participated in ISSP.lv (International summer school of Photography) workshops with such masters as Vanessa Winship, George Georgiou, Christian Caujjole, Teun van der Heijden, Yurie Nagashima
